The open Yellow Line is commonly described as running from about 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM. That window is a planning range, not a legal timetable. Festival days, trial runs and maintenance can shorten it.
First train and last train
First train at a terminal is earlier than at a mid station such as Fatehabad Road. Last train from Dr. Ambedkar Chowk or Taj Mahal (underground) can be several minutes before the last departure from Taj East Gate or Mankameshwar. If you must reach Agra Cantt railway station at night, remember Blue Line is not open — metro will not drop you at the railway building. Budget a road hop.
Peak frequency
Peak headways are often quoted around 7–10 minutes. Off-peak is often 10–15 minutes. Crowds around Taj East Gate and Fatehabad Road in winter mornings can add dwell time even if the printed interval looks short.
Tourist timing mistakes
- Leaving the Taj at sunset and expecting a metro at 10:05 PM from a mid station.
- Assuming Agra Fort metro access is a named “Agra Fort” station — use Dr. Ambedkar Chowk / Mankameshwar.
