How Agra Metro fares are explained

Unlike some cities that price by kilometre bands on a printed map, passenger explainers for Agra Metro usually quote a station-count slab. Crossing one station is the cheapest hop; crossing the whole Yellow Line sits in a higher slab. Children below a stated height (often 90 cm in UPMRC networks) may travel free — follow the notice at the counter.

Student, senior and tourist products

There is no permanent public “student pass” that this portal can guarantee. Colleges should watch official UPMRC circulars. Senior citizens should ask at the counter for any concession in force that day. Tourists are usually best served by a QR ticket or a stored-value NCMC / GoSmart card if they will ride more than twice.

Monthly card logic

If you commute daily on the open stretch, a smart card removes queue time and the ~10% discount compounds. If you are in Agra for one Taj-Fort day, a QR ticket is enough. Never buy “monthly Agra Metro passes” from hotel touts.
