The Agra Metro Blue Line is the second corridor of Phase 1, planned as a fully elevated line from Agra Cantonment towards Kalindi Vihar. Search results that say “Blue Line metro Agra open” are usually mixing it up with the Yellow Line priority stretch that opened on 6 March 2024.
Why Blue Line matters
Agra Cantt is where most long-distance trains arrive. Until Blue Line opens, a railway passenger still needs a taxi, auto or city bus to Fatehabad Road or Taj East Gate. The line is also meant to serve markets, Sanjay Place / commercial pockets and eastern neighbourhoods. A planned interchange at Agra College would connect commuters to the Yellow Line.
What you can do today
- Ride Yellow Line from Taj East Gate to Mankameshwar.
- Read the Agra Cantt station page so you know it is still under construction.
- Watch official UPMRC notices — not contractor photos — for trial-run or opening dates.
Stations (planned, not in service)
Public corridor descriptions typically include Agra Cantt and Kalindi Vihar as terminals, with intermediate elevated stops through the city. This portal will not invent a fake “open” list. When UPMRC commissions a stop, the matching station page will change from “under construction” to “operational”.
Fares after opening
Expect the same station-count logic as Yellow Line. Until then, fare tables apply only to the open stretch. Recruitment and tenders for remaining civil and systems work are operator documents, not ticket products.
