Maintainer / technician style posts (when notified)
Electrical, S&T and civil maintainer posts appear in UPMRC advertisements covering Lucknow, Kanpur and Agra systems. Apply only on the URL printed in that notification. Closing dates are strict.

These are high-interest posts. Syllabus usually mixes general awareness, quantitative aptitude, reasoning and post-specific knowledge. No date is published here until UPMRC issues a numbered notice.
Ticket windows, station operations support and similar roles may appear as the network grows. Medical standards still matter because you work around third-rail and crowd control.
Photo ID, educational certificates, caste / EWS / PwBD documents if claimed, and experience letters. The most common rejection is a mismatch with the online form — name spelling, date of birth, or a category you cannot prove.
A genuine Agra Metro recruitment notice has a notification number, opening and closing dates, application fee, age cut-off date, number of vacancies (sometimes city-wise), and a grievance email. If a Telegram channel asks you to pay a “verification fee”, it is a scam. If a coaching institute claims it can “guarantee Agra Metro posting”, it is selling hope, not a job.
Create the login only on the domain printed in the PDF. Save the registration number. Upload a photograph that matches the specification — many forms reject blurred or oversize files. Pay the fee through the gateway named in the notice and screenshot the success page. Applications submitted after 23:59 on the closing date are not “almost on time”; they are rejected.
Metro work is not a desk job with flexible timing. Third-rail, underground evacuation and peak tourist crowds are unforgiving. Training can include shifts that do not match a college timetable. Read the job description before you pay the fee.
Age limits are post-specific. Many Group C style advertisements in Indian metros use 18–28 or 18–30 as a base, with relaxations for SC, ST, OBC, Ex-servicemen, PwBD and departmental candidates exactly as that PDF cites Government of India or Uttar Pradesh rules. Copying last year’s table is how people discover at DV that they were never eligible.
Reservation rosters, horizontal reservation and city-wise vacancies (Lucknow vs Kanpur vs Agra) are not interchangeable. If the notice says the post is for a particular corridor, do not assume you can choose Agra after the result.
Syllabus is an annexure, not a YouTube thumbnail. Typical papers mix general awareness (including current affairs and sometimes metro/urban transport awareness), quantitative aptitude, logical reasoning, and a technical paper for maintainer / JE style posts. Negative marking, if any, will be printed. Exam language (Hindi / English) is also printed — do not assume bilingual questions for every post.
Coaching is optional. What is not optional is reading the official scheme of examination twice. Candidates fail for skipping the technical paper weightage, not for skipping a paid mock test.
Admit cards are downloaded from the same portal used to apply. This website will never host an admit card. Carry the printed hall ticket, photo ID, and any extra artefact the instructions mention (photograph, mask, transparent pen). Biometric capture is common. Reach the centre early; Agra and other UP cities have traffic that does not care about your reporting time.
If an answer key is released, there is usually a short challenge window with a fee per question. Results appear as a roll-number PDF or login score. DV is not a formality: original certificates, internships that were claimed as experience, and category documents are checked against the form. A gap you “planned to explain later” is a rejection.
agrametro.org is not a recruiting agency and not UPMRC. We will not call you from a private number offering a job if you share an OTP. We will not send a Gmail PDF with a fake file number. For career culture see Careers. For tenders see Tenders. For the legal line see Disclaimer.
