Agra Metro Phase 1 is two corridors. Yellow Line (Line 1) runs roughly north–south from Sikandra to Taj East Gate for about 14.25 km with a mix of elevated and underground stations. Blue Line (Line 2) is planned as a fully elevated east–west line from Agra Cantt to Kalindi Vihar for about 15.4 km. Only the Yellow Line priority section (Taj East Gate to Mankameshwar, about 5.2 km) is in passenger service as of the last public commissioning date, 6 March 2024.
Yellow Line — Sikandra to Taj East Gate
Expected end-to-end time once the full Yellow Line is open is often described in the 25–35 minute band depending on dwell time. On the open priority stretch, a tourist hop between Fatehabad Road hotels and Mankameshwar / Fort approach is a short ride. Always add walking time from platform to ASI gates.

Blue Line — Agra Cantt to Kalindi Vihar

Interchange with Yellow Line is commonly shown around Agra College / St John’s. This line is under construction and should not be advertised as a tourist ride yet.

Open stations show facilities, nearby monuments and FAQs. Under-construction stations explain the catchment so you can plan for 2026-era openings without treating a civil site as a boarding point. For live “is the train running?” questions, use station PA systems and the official UPMRC app.
Tourists should memorise only the open six: Taj East Gate, Shaheed Captain Shubham Gupta, Fatehabad Road, Taj Mahal, Dr. Ambedkar Chowk and Mankameshwar. That list is enough for a Taj–Fort day. Adding Sikandra or Agra Cantt to a same-day metro plan is how people miss trains and monuments.
Expected end-to-end time on a finished Yellow Line is often described in the 25–35 minute band. On the open stretch you are looking at a short hop plus walking. Interchange with Blue Line is a future story around Agra College / St John’s. Until then there is one passenger line, one fare logic, and one set of last-train constraints.
