Agra Metro smart card guide

Stored-value travel for commuters and repeat visitors using NCMC / GoSmart products.

Agra Metro participates in India’s National Common Mobility Card idea. Bank products such as SBI’s GoSmart Agra Metro Card are dual-interface prepaid cards: a transit balance for tap-and-go at UPMRC gates, and a retail balance where the bank enables it. This portal does not issue cards.

How to get one

Ask at an operational station ticket counter. Carry a photo ID. Complete the form the operator or bank provides. Some products need KYC before full retail features unlock. Keep the printed terms — lost-card rules differ from a paper token.

How to ride

Tap at entry, ride, tap at exit. If a gate rejects the card, go to customer care. Incomplete exit can block the next trip and looks like a “broken card” when it is actually an open journey. Do not share the card with a second person through the same flap.

Why it is cheaper

Public fare tables show about 10% off token price. Over a month of office trips that is real money, and you skip the QR brightness dance. Tourists who ride only twice may still prefer QR. Compare on the fare calculator.
